AI and Quantum International Hub, UAE (AIQUAINT) partnered with Gen AI Fund’s Agentic AI Build Week in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Over five action-packed days between 8th and 12th July 2026, founders, developers, researchers, and innovators came together to build, experiment, and push the boundaries of agentic AI. From hands-on workshops and expert mentorship to collaborative hackathons and meaningful conversations, the energy and innovation were truly inspiring.

Sri Lanka marked a significant milestone in its growing artificial intelligence landscape with the successful hosting of the country’s first Youth AI Summit in Jaffna, bringing together students, innovators, academics, and industry leaders to explore the future of AI and emerging technologies.
Conducted as a multi-city initiative from May 16 to 24, the Youth AI Summit sought to connect young people across Colombo, Kandy, and Jaffna through workshops, panel discussions, and hands-on AI sessions. The programme culminated with the final summit held at SLIIT Northern UNI in Jaffna.
The initiative was organised by the AI and Quantum International Hub (AIQUAINT), UAE, in collaboration with Northern UNI. The summit was curated by Gowri Shankar Sivabala, who launched the inaugural Youth AI Summit in India in 2025. Following its Sri Lankan edition in 2026, the programme is expected to expand to additional countries worldwide.
Addressing the summit, organisers underscored the importance of equipping youth with emerging technology skills and creating platforms that connect students with academia and industry leaders. The event featured panel discussions on artificial intelligence and quantum technologies, AI venture-building sessions, startup presentations, hands-on workshops, and student project demonstrations.
The programme also highlighted contributions from students, women leaders, and young innovators, reflecting the growing interest in AI-driven innovation among Sri Lankan youth. Organisers noted that the enthusiasm and creativity displayed by participants underscored Sri Lanka’s strong potential to emerge as a regional hub for AI innovation.
The Xplore AI – Youth AI Summit India held in September 2025 marked the state’s first event of its kind, bringing together participants from 67 universities. The summit featured 24 Hour Hackathon, hands-on workshops,panel discussions, keynote sessions, and collaborative projects that explored real-world AI applications. It also gained significant recognition by being featured in multiple newspapers including The Hindu, DT Next,Express News, Press Network of India, etc., highlighting its impact and reach. The event inspired young innovators to engage with ethical AI and showcase their ideas on a prominent platform.
